Born: August 29, 1872, Hilversum, Overijssel, Holland (birth name: Hendricus de Fluiter). Died: After 1965. |
De Fluiter’s family emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1882. When Henry grew up, he became an apprentice sign painter. His life changed, though, after attending a revival by Dwight Moody and Ira Sankey in Cleveland, Ohio. Inspired by that experience, he enrolled at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, and went on to a career in evangelism.

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
